Georgia Department of Transportation continues to improve highway infrastructure throughout Southeast Georgia. As a result, work on construction and maintenance projects will continue throughout the week from Monday, January 14 through Saturday, January 19. Major projects of interest that will likely impact traffic are listed below.

All work subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, pay attention and watch for workers.

Bryan County
SR 144 Cross Wind Road to Brown Road
Flagging Operation to Mill and Inlay Asphalt
Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Bulloch County
SR 24 Clito Circle to Screven County Line
Single Lane Closures for Milling and Resurfacing Project
Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

US 80 between Statesboro and Brooklet
Intermittent lane closures Monday – Saturday 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Roadway construction of additional travel and turn lanes

Chatham County
I-516 West Exit 5 closure
Ramp closure nightly Monday –Wednesday 6 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Detour via Exit 4/Tremont Ave, I-516 East, Exit 5/Macon & Savannah
Guardrail maintenance

Island Expressway from Oatland Island Road to Elba Island Road
Single Lane closures for mobilizing equipment/materials and Utility Work

Lane shift in place with speed reduction required for Jimmy Deloach Extension Project

SR 21 Fries Road to Crossgate Road
Single Lane Closures for installing a Commercial Driveway and Turn Lane

SR 25 (HWY 17) south of Ponderosa Road to south of Ogeechee River Bridge
Single Lane Closures for Milling and Resurfacing
Monday through Sunday 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. 

Effingham County
SR 275 Rincon-Stillwell Road/Long Bridge Road and Ebenezer Road intersection
Lane Closures to install storm drainage under the roadway
Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Glynn County
US 341/SR 27 Northbound near mile maker 6
Monday – Friday during daylight hours
